THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE THE CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND BACKDROPS CANADA. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING PRODUCTS FROM OUR WEBSITE.
Backdrops Canada (‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’) provide products (‘Products’ or ‘product’) and services (‘Service’) to you (‘you’ or ‘your’) through our website located at www.backdropscanada.ca. By ordering from our website you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions please DO NOT order. We reserve the right to update and change the Terms from time to time without notice.
REFUND POLICY
Due to the custom nature of our products, each order is custom printed to your specified requirements, by ordering you waive the right to claim a refund/return/exchange under the distance selling regulations. If you do not agree with this then please do not order.
- We reserve the right to cancel any order placed on our website.
- We inspect each order that is printed and shipped before it leaves our premises to ensure there are no defects
- It is your responsibility to check your product(s) before you sign for them as we cannot accept responsibility for any damage after you have signed for it
- If you do not agree with our refund policy then please do not order.
RETURNS POLICY
Due to the custom nature of our products, each order is custom printed to your specified requirements, by ordering you waive the right to claim a refund/return/exchange under the distance selling regulations. If you do not agree with this then please do not order.
- We DO NOT accept returns on products.

DAMAGE POLICY
All of our items are sent by courier, it is your responsibility to ensure that when you sign for the goods that they are in good condition. If you are not able to inspect the goods you should clearly write UNCHECKED next to the signature box. If the item is damaged you can either reject the delivery or accept it and write DAMAGED clearly next to your signature.
- When you sign for a parcel you are signing to say that you have received the item in good condition, ensure that you check the item first.
- We do not accept any liability if you sign for the goods and do not mark the courier note as DAMAGED and inform us within 24 hours of accepting the item.
- We do not offer refunds or returns for items where the item has been damaged in transit and has not been marked as DAMAGED on the courier notes.
- If you do not agree with our damage policy then please do not order.
DELIVERY POLICY
Our normal delivery time scale is within 4-7 working days, however in most cases your product will be delivered within 5 working days. While we will try our very best to ensure that you receive your product on time we accept no responsibility or liability for loss should a delivery take longer.
- You should not schedule any photo shoot until you have received the product.
- During busy periods turnaround times will be extended without notice.
- The delivery cost is added to your order upon checkout.
- Any problem with you delivery needs to be notified to us within 24 hours of accepting the delivery.
- If you do not select the correct delivery destination for your order there will be an additional charge to cover the cost of sending the product to you.
- Your order can only be sent to the delivery address entered at the time of payment.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address entered is correct.
- The courier may leave a card if they try to deliver while you are out, we will assist you with communicating with the courier company in order to have your parcel delivered. We will not collect the parcel for you, if the parcel is returned to us due to you not being present at the delivery address we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for redelivery of the product. If you would like a parcel sent for delivery on a particular day, please specify this at the time of ordering.
- If we quote a delivery date or time to you this is just an estimate of the expected delivery date/time. We cannot guarantee that the item will arrive within this time frame. We will not accept any liability should the item not arrive when we estimate it will.
- International delivery is available, if you cannot find the price on our website please request a quote. Some countries we cannot deliver to due to logistical reasons.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
By tagging us in your photo on any social media website you allow us to use your photo on our website within any social media feed. Any photos you tag us in are automatically picked up via our website. We do not accept any responsibility for the content or distribution of these images.
- Only tag us in your photo if you accept our social media policy.
- We will not be liable for any loss/injury/claim/damages that relate to social media images and content.
PRODUCT MAINTENANCE POLICY
All of the products we sell are printed on high quality digital printing media. We do not accept any liability for injury or loss when cleaning and maintaining our products.
Vinyl
- Clean the product with warm soapy water or anti-bacterial wipes (vinyl only).
- Do not use any type of chemical such as bleach when cleaning our products.
- Like any printed artwork, the product needs to be taken care of, particularly for floors and especially dark floors.
- Please store the product rolled in the tube provided to avoid creasing/damage or leave them hung or laid flat.
- If the product becomes creased, hang it in a warm room overnight and they should fall out.
- You should only use the product on a clean flat surface.
Poly-pro paper
- Avoid handling the product with dirty hands, we recommend wearing white cotton gloves for handling.
- Like any printed artwork, the product needs to be taken care of, particularly for floors and especially dark floors.
- Please store the product rolled in the tube provided to avoid creasing/damage or leave them hung or laid flat.
- If the product becomes creased, you may need to heat with a hair dryer to remove them.
- You should only use the product on a clean flat surface.
REGULAR PRODUCT ORDER POLICY (WITHOUT CUSTOM IMAGES)
All of our products are custom printed when you order them. We take lots of time to print off our designs and test them before adding them to our product range. We try our best to ensure that the colour of our products match for most modern computer screens.
- You are responsible for choosing the correct design for your needs.
- Any colours shown on your computer may not be the same as the colours on the final printed product. If you have any specific colour matching requirements please email us at sales@backdropscanada.ca
- We do not accept any responsibility where the colour of the product does not match the image of the product on your computer screen.
- The majority of our products will be supplied with a border around the image to allow for easy clamping of the product to your backdrop stand.
- Any product discount shown on the website is deducted from the price before adding to your shopping basket. Taxes and delivery are not added until you check out.
- You accept that some cropping may occur in order to print the product in the size you have requested. If you need the product cropping or sizing in a particular way please ensure that you notify us prior to printing your order.
- We reserve the right to end or change our offers at anytime without notice.
- You are responsible for choosing the correct print media for your application. Vinyl is hard wearing and good for use on the floor but can reflect/glare if you do not feather your lighting correctly. If you need a glare free product please select Polypaper at the time of ordering.
- Some images may look slightly pixelated up close but when photographed at the intended distance (1.8m) the image should appear as intended. Pixelation like this is integral to large format printing.
- Where the product is used in circumstances other than the intended usage you need to ensure that the product meets your needs, for example product photography.
- We do not make any claim to the scale of the design and if the scale of features like patterns and floorboards is important then you should contact us to ensure they fit your intended use, as we cannot be held responsible for misinterpretation of the design especially when resizing.
CUSTOM IMAGE ORDER POLICY
All of our products are custom printed when you order them. You can also specify a custom image to be used for producing the product.
- The REGULAR PRODUCT ORDER POLICY (WITHOUT CUSTOM IMAGES) also applies in this section. The custom image policy is an extension on the REGULAR PRODUCT ORDER POLICY (WITHOUT CUSTOM IMAGES).
- You should ensure that you have the relevant copyright to use the image in our products and make proof available to us on request.
- We do not accept ANY liability for printing a custom image on our product where adequate permission has not been granted.
- By ordering a custom image you accept that you have the relevant permission to use the image and any resulting loss/claim will be your responsibility.
- Some custom images may be rejected due to the image quality not being high enough for large format printing.
- Any custom print is printed at your own risk, we will not be held liable if the print does not meet your expectations, for example, if the colours don’t match.
PRODUCT USEAGE POLICY
It is important that you use our products correctly ensuring that they do not get damaged or cause injury/loss as a result of using the product. Due to the nature of the product being able to be used in almost any type of situation your use of any of our products is at your own risk.
- Our products work with Studio lighting or Natural lighting, you may need to feather your lighting to avoid glare on vinyl. If this may be an issue please order Polypaper as we do not offer refunds for choosing the wrong material.
- The product being used as a floor should be used on a completely flat and clean surface. It will not work with carpet unless something is used underneath like a sheet of perspex. Take care not to damage the product or cause injury to the subject.
- Where the subject can walk or step onto the product ensure that they cannot trip by taping the product to the floor
- Make sure the surface of the product is dry and not slippery prior to use.
- ALWAYS use caution when placing any objects that are not soft on the surface of the product to ensure you don’t scratch the design. Keep in mind that this is a “printed” surface and is not impermeable to being scratched for example dragged items/props across the product may cause scratching. *We cannot be held responsible for scratches on the product.*
- Products should be stored ROLLED or laid/hung flat to avoid creasing. Do not fold the product or they can crease.
- We recommend hanging the product from a background stand and securing it in place with clamps. You can either hang the product so it hangs to the floor or alternatively use a baseboard/skirting board and secure it in place with clamps.
PAYMENT POLICY
We require that any product purchased via our website is paid for in advance.
- CURRENCY We only accept Canadian (CDN) currency. If you pay using a card from another country the current exchange rate will apply.
- We do not accept orders over the phone, any payment will need to be processed online via our secure payment provider.
- We will not despatch your order until funds have cleared or the card transaction has been approved by the authorizing card issuer.
- If we do refund any monies back to you we will do so by the same method you paid. For example, if you pay by card the refund will be made by card.
- If we feel that the payment is fraudulent or high risk we reserve the right to cancel the order at any time.
